Job summary

Davis Staffing, Inc. in Blue Island, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to balance payroll, bookkeeping, and financial operations within a fast-paced environment.

You will process payroll for a large hourly workforce, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile records, and maintain vendor and client data. This temp-to-hire role offers 1st shift hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and a pay rate of $23–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping or payroll roles.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, AP/AR, and invoicing.
• Experience handling high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for a large hourly workforce across multiple client sites.
• Manage accounts payable including vendor invoices and bill payments.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Review payroll, billing, and accounting data for accuracy.

Job Requirements Include:

• 3+ years' experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, Bookkeeper, Payroll Specialist, or similar accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.

• Experience managing high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
