Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Part-Time PR Specialist (Remote, Philippines) to drive visibility for an upcoming book launch. You will lead outreach to podcasts, media, and speaking opportunities, coordinating from initial contact through bookings.

The role requires 1-3 years in PR/marketing, strong copywriting, and the ability to own end-to-end outreach plans with a proactive mindset. Flexible schedule with overlap to US Central Time.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of PR, media outreach, podcast booking, marketing, or related field.
• Experience supporting a thought leader, author, executive, coach, or professional services brand.
• Strong ability to identify and pursue podcasts, media, speaking, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong copywriting for pitches and outreach.
• Excellent research and prospecting skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Highly proactive and capable of owning outcomes.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
• Comfort working with senior executives on their behalf.
• Familiarity with AI tools for research, writing, and execution.
• Understanding of the US media, podcast, and thought leadership landscape.

Responsibilities

• Book Launch Strategy & Execution - translate goals into a marketing/PR plan with timeline.
• PR & Media Outreach - pitch journalists, publications, media outlets, newsletters for interviews and coverage.
• Podcast Booking - identify podcasts, pitches, manage outreach, coordinate appearances from contact to booking.
• Speaking Opportunities - research and pursue relevant speaking engagements and events.
• Speaking Tour Coordination - assist multi-city tour planning and local media opportunities.
• Thought Leadership Marketing - position author as a credible thought leader in executive coaching and leadership.
• Pitch & Copywriting - craft personalized pitches and outreach emails reflecting the author's voice.
• Research & Opportunity Identification - continuously research podcasts, media, events, audiences, trends.
• Publisher Coordination - work with publisher and marketing contacts to maximize launch opportunities.
• Project Management - track outreach, follow-ups, bookings, deadlines, deliverables.
• Proactive Execution - anticipate steps, identify gaps, keep launch moving.
• AI-Assisted Marketing - leverage AI tools for research, content development, analysis.
