Job summary

Amgen in the United States is seeking a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, share clinical knowledge, and navigate payer environments.

You will implement marketing strategies, promote Amgen products, and build strong customer relationships while upholding Amgen values and achieving sales targets across Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Sulphur, Pineville and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR
• Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• Associate degree and 6 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive utilization of the products
• Deliver branded sales messages, conduct educational programs, schedule and follow up with medical educational programs, and achieve or exceed sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts including client discussions, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining contracts
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative
• Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the sales cycle while upholding Amgen values
