Qualifications

• Certification/License: Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card.
• Experience: 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects and repair.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts using welding equipment.
• Inspect vessels and components to locate defects.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts using appropriate tools.
• Attach rigging and coordinate crane/hoist operators for lifting heavy parts.
• Install manholes, taps, valves, gauges, or feedwater connections in boiler drums.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions of parts.
• Clean pressure vessel equipment and install refractory materials.
• Assemble large vessels in on-site fabrication shop for proper fit.
