Qualifications

• Certification/License: NCCER Boilermaker certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card required.
• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks or vats for defects so repairs can be made.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts.
• Inspect vessels or components for defects and ensure proper function.
• Repair/replace defective parts using welding equipment and hand tools.
• Attach rigging and coordinate crane or hoist operations for heavy sections.
• Install manholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, or feedwater connections.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions.
• Assemble large vessels in on-site shop prior to installation.
