Emerson Power & Water Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Houston, TX, to diagnose and resolve engineering challenges related to DCS installations and startup at customer sites. You will work with sales to define project scopes and cost estimates, coordinate with vendors, and support testing and commissioning of control systems.

This role requires 3+ years of field service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 50-75% seasonally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
3+ years of related field service experience.
Willingness to travel up to 50–75% (seasonal).
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve engineering challenges related to installation, startup, and operation of distributed control systems at customer sites.
Coordinate with sales team and customers to develop project scope and cost estimates.
Develop technical specifications and coordinate with third-party vendors.
Evaluate contractor bids and manage regional projects, schedules, and meetings.
Design, review, implement, and test control systems for power and water applications.
