Job summary

Constellation New Energy seeks a Stationary Engineer for one of our plant facilities in Frederick, Maryland. You will operate and maintain eight Cleaver Brooks boiler units, ensuring safe, reliable energy supply and compliance with company policies.

The role requires a Maryland license or ability to obtain one, strong problem solving, and readiness for on-call shifts to support a 24/7 operation. Join a team dedicated to safe, efficient energy production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years boiler operation experience or equivalent.
• Grade 1 Maryland Stationary Engineer license or ability to obtain one in a specified time frame.
• Federal Security Clearance (HSPD-12 minimum) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including working with switching up to 480 volts.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions; enforce safety compliance.
• Operate plants as a Stationary Engineer per company policies.
• Serve as onsite representative; maintain customer relationships.
• Monitor plant operations via control systems/technologies.
• Be on-call for emergencies; work odd hours and weekends as needed.
• Complete training to comply with safety and operating policies.
• Ensure water quality and plant chemistry.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on boilers; document activities.
• Create and follow up on work orders; implement LOTO procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire-tube boilers, combustion, and feedwater systems.
