Job summary

Constellation New Energy is seeking a Stationary Engineer for one of our plant facilities in Frederick, Maryland. You will operate and maintain eight Cleaver-Brooks boilers and related equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.

The role requires 5+ years of boiler operating experience and a Maryland Grade 1 Stationary Engineer license or ability to obtain one, with strong safety and customer-facing responsibilities. On-call duties and varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years boiler operating experience or equivalent.
• Grade 1 Maryland Stationary Engineer license or ability to obtain.
• Possession of a Federal Security Clearance (HSPD-12) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including working with switching up to 480 volts.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to define problems, research, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor safe working conditions; identify, correct, and report unsafe areas; enforce safety compliance.
• Operate assigned plants as a Stationary Engineer in line with company policies.
• Act as sole on-site Constellation representative and maintain customer relationships.
• Monitor plant operations through control systems.
• Be on-call to respond to emergencies and work odd hours including holidays/weekends.
• Ensure regulatory requirements and project obligations are met.
• Maintain water quality and plant chemistry; perform preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Create and follow up on work orders for equipment repairs.
