Job summary

Constellation New Energy seeks a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain eight Cleaver-Brooks 400 & 500 HP boilers at a Frederick, Maryland facility. The role requires safe operation, regulatory compliance, and strong customer-service skills.

You will oversee plant controls, respond to emergencies, and ensure water quality while supporting 24/7 operations in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maryland Grade 1 Stationary Engineer license or ability to obtain.
• Federal Security Clearance (HSPD-12) eligibility or ability to obtain.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 65 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor safe working conditions; identify, correct, and report unsafe areas; enforce safety compliance.
• Operate plants as a Stationary Engineer per company policies.
• Serve as primary on-site Constellation representative and maintain customer relationships.
• Monitor plant operations via control systems and technologies.
• Be available for on-call and respond to emergencies, including odd hours and weekends.
• Meet regulatory obligations and ensure uninterrupted energy supply.
• Maintain water quality and plant chemistry per procedures.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and minor repairs on boilers.
• Create and follow work orders; document maintenance outcomes.
• Implement Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and maintain documentation.
• Complete required safety and operating training.
