Join abra Auto Body, a division of Dahl Automotive, in this dual role as a Body Shop Technician/Painter in beautiful Winona, MN! abra Auto Body is a premier auto body repair facility, recognized as a top choice for many insurance companies in the area, which means the shop is always busy and you can be productive and successful! A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for well-qualified candidates!

Responsibilities

1. Refinish all assigned vehicles, following the written repair order and ABRA’s operational excellence processes.
2. Prepare spray-out panels to determine blend needs.
3. Perform all refinish procedures according to factory specifications and ABRA policies.
4. Follow all paint manufacturing guidelines.
5. Repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, following the written repair order and ABRA’s operational excellence process.
6. Approach repair planning with urgency and attention to detail to avoid waste and rework. De-trim and reassemble vehicles, organizing parts on carts. Perform pre-pulls to make repair versus replace decisions.
7. Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary. Use good judgment to determine when damaged parts can be safely repaired for cost and cycle-time savings.
8. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines for hazardous waste disposal.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
3. 2-5 years of automotive refinishing experience.
4. Welding, suspension, and framework experience a plus or willingness to learn/train.
5. Certifications listed above or equivalent experience and eagerness to improve.
6. I-CAR certification preferred.
7. Compliance with all safety requirements, including respirator safety and fitment/usage, maintaining compliance to pass required safety mask fit tests.
8. Strong organizational skills.
