The City of New York is seeking an Associate Project Manager I to join the Fabrication Engineering Unit within Quality Assurance / Bureau of Engineering Review and Support. You will monitor off-site inspections for acceptance and verify fabrication of bridge components. Under general supervision, you will oversee inspection agencies, review drawings and procedures, and evaluate non-destructive testing results.
Travel to fabrication plants across the U.S. and Canada is required.
This position is for an Associate Project Manager I, serving in the Fabrication Engineering Unit within Quality Assurance / Bureau of Engineering Review and Support. Under general supervision, the Associate Project Manager will perform responsible and difficult project management work that involves monitoring off‑site inspection for acceptance and verifying during the fabrication of structural steel and prestressed/precast concrete bridge components.
