The City of New York seeks a Civil Engineer I to join the Fabrication Engineering Unit within the Quality Assurance / Bureau of Engineering Review and Support. You will oversee fabrication inspection and review documentation for structural bridge components from fabrication through to acceptance.
Responsibilities include monitoring off-site inspections, reviewing drawings and procedures, coordinating with inspection agencies, and ensuring conformance to professional standards.
The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges manages the full life cycle of over 800 bridges and tunnels. This position is for a Civil Engineer I within the Fabrication Engineering Unit of the Quality Assurance / Bureau of Engineering Review and Support.
Individuals must have at least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or project leader on a complex project requiring specific expertise.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
