Job summary

Russell Marine in Alexander City, Alabama is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive boat sales across the dealership. You will build lasting relationships with customers and guide them through the purchasing process while promoting services across departments.

The role requires a willingness to network, follow the dealership's sales process, and stay informed about new and pre-owned inventory to ensure every guest leaves satisfied and motivated to return.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience with boats is preferred with a willingness to learn and demonstrate product use of boats, personal watercraft, and applicable accessories.
• Ability to safely tow, trailer, and launch boats is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues and vendors.
• A passion for boating and boating-related activities, with the ability to build trust and enthusiasm when selling products and services.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue by selling boats to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
• Actively network with customers both online and in-person and maintain an accurate customer lead list, recording all interactions in the CRM system.
• Ensure follow up with both prospective customers and sold customers according to a set schedule.
• Listen attentively to customers to understand their boating needs and recommend tailored solutions.
