Job summary

Würth Baer Supply Company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor serving the woodworking industry. The Board Sales Support Specialist will back Outside Sales by delivering timely, accurate product information, quotes, and coordination for board offerings, ensuring smooth handoffs across departments.

This onsite Columbus role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong vendor liaison skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wood panel products, applications, specifications, and vendor processes.
• Experience in sales support, customer service, or purchasing in wood products is preferred.
• Ability to respond quickly with accurate quotes and information to support the field team.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, accurate responses to Outside Sales team requests related to board products, pricing, availability, lead times, quotes, and special orders.
• Prepare and support price quotes for customers in coordination with Outside Sales and Customer Service.
• Assist Outside Sales with product information, order details, vendor updates, and follow-up needed to support customer commitments.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Inventory Specialists, Sales Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate order processing, consistent product availability, and complete on-time deliveries.
• Assist with vendor ordering, including gathering order details, confirming availability, following up on lead times, and communicating updates internally.
• Support special-order activity by confirming specs, pricing, vendor requirements, shipping details, and delivery timing.
• Help resolve internal questions or obstacles quickly so the Outside Sales team can stay focused on customer activity.
• Share market feedback, product trends, and inventory concerns with Sales and Purchasing leadership.
• Provide input on product mix, pricing, inventory levels, and demand outlook based on sales and customer needs.
• Maintain clear handoffs between Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Inventory, and Operations.
