Job summary

TrustPoint Hospital is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support adolescent and adult patients on the Specialty Pediatric Unit. This role emphasizes delivering quality ABA services and developing ongoing programs for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
  • Provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates.
  • Train new staff on ABA techniques.
  • Conduct assessments including ADOS and other assessments.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Provide direct services to patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings.
  • Attend staff meetings and yearly in-services.
  • Maintain license or certification in good standing.
  • Flexible schedule, possible weekends or evenings.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Purpose Statement

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides quality ABA services to the patients on the Specialty Pediatric Unit. In addition, the BCBA serves as the professional who develops and implements ongoing services to the staff.

Essential Functions

Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit

Provides supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates

Trains new staff on ABA techniques

Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement

Facilitates daily team meetings

Attends staff meetings as required and completes all yearly mandatory in-services

Provides direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit

Conducts the appropriate assessments including ADOS and other specific assessments in a timely manner

Participates in performance improvement activities

Follows all hospital policies and procedures

Must maintain license or certification in good standing

Flexible schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate

Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

Experience with the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans

Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Experience with working with adolescent population

Must be skilled and competent to provide services to the patient.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by BACB

CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility.
