Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide high-quality ABA services on the Specialty Pediatric Unit. You will develop and implement Behavior Plans and help staff maintain fidelity to those plans.

You will supervise RBTs and Behavioral Health Associates, train new staff, and stay current with advances in ABA. Occasional weekends/evenings may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working with adolescents and families.

Responsibilities

  • Implement ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit with focus on ASD.
  • Supervise RBTs and Behavioral Health Associates.
  • Train new staff on ABA techniques.
  • Stay current with treatment advances and set appropriate goals.
  • Lead daily team meetings and participate in mandatory in-services.
  • Provide direct services to patients on the unit.
  • Conduct assessments including ADOS in a timely manner.
  • Engage in performance improvement activities and follow hospital policies.
  • Maintain licensure and be flexible for weekends or evenings.

Job description

Belmont Behavioral Health System has been a trusted source of superior service for more than 75 years. To ensure that we are best prepared to provide the highest quality of care to individuals and families in the Philadelphia area for decades to come, we have moved into a brand-new building.

We are seeking to hire a BCBA Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide quality ABA services to the patients on the Specialty Pediatric Unit, including the development and implementation of Behavior Plans, and assist staff in implementing and maintaining fidelity to plans.

Daytime Hours

Salary Range – $30-$40 per hour depending on experience

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit with particular focus on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates.
  • Train new staff on ABA techniques.
  • Keep abreast of advances in treatment and set appropriate goals for self‑improvement.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings.
  • Attend staff meetings as required and complete all yearly mandatory in‑services.
  • Provide direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
  • Conduct the appropriate assessments including ADOS and other specific assessments in a timely manner.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a license or certification in good standing.
  • Be flexible with schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
  • Experience with the development and implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with an adolescent population.
  • Skill and competency to provide services to the patient.
Licenses, Designations, and Certifications
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by BACB.
  • CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by the facility).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
