Job summary

Applied ABC is seeking a Full-Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst to support elementary-level students in Frederick, MD. The BCBA will collaborate with district staff to assess behaviors, develop and monitor individualized behavior plans, and provide direct ABA therapy aligned with school guidelines.

Responsibilities include data collection, staff training, and cross-team collaboration to ensure consistent implementation of BIPs and effective interventions throughout the district.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ABA or related field is required.
• BCBA certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of ABA experience, preferably in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct FBAs and support MDRs.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and review individualized behavior support plans.
• Provide behavioral consultation and recommendations to students, teachers, and school teams.
• Conduct classroom observations and collect, review, and analyze behavioral data.
• Provide staff coaching, training, and collaborative support related to behavior management and intervention strategies.
• Support behavioral components of IEPs and collaborate with educators, families, and other support teams.
• Provide district-level behavioral consultation and services as needed.

Initial Placement: Elementary school, with an initial focus on supporting two identified classrooms

Position Scope and Responsibilities

The BCBA will provide comprehensive behavioral support and consultation services across the district, with an initial focus on elementary-level programming. Responsibilities may include:

• Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and supporting Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)
• Developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing individualized behavior support plans
• Providing behavioral consultation and recommendations to students, teachers, and school teams
• Conducting classroom observations and collecting, reviewing, and analyzing behavioral data
• Providing staff coaching, training, and collaborative support related to behavior management and intervention strategies
• Supporting behavioral components of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborating with educators, related service providers, administrators, families, and other members of student support teams
• Providing broader district-level behavioral consultation and services as needs arise

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors
• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on FBA results
• Provide direct ABA therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure consistent implementation of BIPs
• Train school staff on ABA principles and strategies
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
