Job summary

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) seeks a BoardLiaison in Washington, DC to coordinate governance across USGBC and GBCI boards. You will work with board chairs and the CEO to ensure aligned strategic oversight and efficient decision-making.

The role requires 7+ years in board relations or senior advisory positions, a Bachelor's degree, and ideally an MBA or governance-focused advanced degree. Hybrid work in DC is offered with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in board relations, project management, or senior advisory roles.
• Experience supporting a board of directors or executive leadership in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• MBA or Master’s in Governance/Public Policy strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance activities for USGBC and GBCI boards with executive leadership.
• Synthesize analyses and support CEO evaluations and board reporting.
• Handle scheduling, communications, and logistics for governance duties.
• Track progress toward board goals and flag delays to leadership.
