in Washington, DC is seeking a Board Liaison to serve as the primary facilitator and project manager for initiatives involving USGBC and GBCI boards, executive leadership, and governance staff. This new role aims to bridge the work of the two boards, enable effective governance, and support board decision-making through structured analysis, agenda planning, and coordination of evaluations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in board relations, project management, enterprise strategy, chief of staff, or senior advisory roles.
• Experience supporting a board of directors or executive leadership committee in a complex nonprofit or mission-driven org.
• Track record managing multi-work stream initiatives across affiliated entities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary facilitator and project manager for initiatives involving USGBC and GBCI boards, exec team and Governance staff.
• Coordinate governance activities and alignment across two entities with CEO support.
• Synthesize input from management, consultants, and external sources for board decisions.
• Support CEO evaluation processes with HR and defined governance policies.
• Handle administrative coordination including communications, scheduling and logistics.
