Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Bone Marrow Transplant team in the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The APP will evaluate and manage patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies, collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care teams.

Ideal candidates have oncology/BMT experience, a Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited program, NCCPA certification, and prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred.
• Hematology/BMT/cellular therapy exposure beneficial.
• Graduate of a master’s degree or higher ARC-PA accredited PA program or CNS/NP path with prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing physical exams.
• Develop and manage patient care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, and supportive care.
• Collaborate on research projects and apply evidence-based practices.
