Job summary
Texas Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Dallas Medical City location in the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) department. The role may be filled as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist, with entry-level to Sr experience levels.
The position is full-time, with typical hours 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The APP will collaborate with practice physicians to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic patient care, while supporting compliance programs and
Qualifications
- MSN completed with Nurse Practitioner program or equivalent.
- Current RN license and board licensure where applicable.
- PA track requires NCCPA certification and state PA license.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
- Document interventions; prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures after appropriate training.
- Educate patients and families about care plans.
- Promote wellness and connect patients with community resources.
- Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice.
- Understand reimbursement and documentation requirements.
- Complete medical records promptly.
- May provide case management for patients and families.
- May educate staff and participate in rounds and after-hours calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
