Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Bone Marrow Transplant team, serving pediatric patients with hematologic, oncologic, immunologic diagnoses requiring stem cell transplant.

The APP will assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and coordinate care across the hospital system, with a high degree of critical thinking and flexibility and variable 12-hour shifts including Nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and professional licensure required.
• Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology or stem cell transplant preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and flexibility.
• Ability to provide education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric patients with stem cell transplant needs.
• Coordinate care across hospital systems.
• Perform comprehensive exams and order tests as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide education and counseling to families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
