Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to oversee primary care for blood and marrow transplant and immunotherapy patients. You will assess, triage, manage care, and collaborate with a transplant team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires graduation from a Physician Assistant or NP program, WA licensure, and relevant certification, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant training program or appropriate Nurse Practitioner program and licensed in Washington.
• National Certification as appropriate for the profession.
• Must be licensed for schedule II drug authority.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Must work well in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Must enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in inpatient/outpatient settings under physician supervision.
• Perform history taking, physical exams, order and review diagnostic studies, and prescribe treatments.
• Perform bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, and assist with bone marrow harvests; provide follow-up care for bone marrow donors.
