Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the oncology team in a PRN capacity, providing coverage across Solid Tumor Oncology and Blood/Marrow Transplant. The APP will assess, diagnose, and manage oncology patients, coordinate treatment plans, educate patients, and support continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of oncology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) required.
• Graduate of a master’s degree or higher ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or a Master’s degree in nursing with Texas Board of Nursing authorization.
• Licensure as PA or APRN with prescriptive authority; NCCPA certification preferred for PAs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Synthesizes data to develop and evaluate the plan of care and interprets diagnostic results.
• Demonstrates clinical/procedural skills and provides education to patients and families.
• Supports quality initiatives and research protocols to improve care delivery.
• Collaborates on research projects and applies evidence-based practices.
