Job summary

Johnson Controls Glendale, KY is seeking a BMS Associate to monitor and maintain Building Management Systems across facilities. The role focuses on real-time operation, diagnostics, and data-driven improvements to energy efficiency and system reliability.

You will work Tue-Fri, 2 PM–12 AM, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to address alarms, optimize performance, and ensure safety and compliance in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience as a BMS operator or in facility management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to convey system status clearly.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with facility management teams and external contractors.
• HVAC and building subsystems knowledge; certification preferred.
• Familiarity with BMS software platforms such as Trane, Honeywell, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and Operate BMS across sites to ensure HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems function within set parameters.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve alarms and maintain performance.
• Respond to real-time alarms, investigate root causes, and escalate as needed.
• Generate reports on alarm activity, energy usage, and system faults for internal review.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards at all times.
• Serve as first point of contact for BMS-related emergencies and coordinate responses.
• Use data analytics to identify operational improvements and energy-saving opportunities.
