Job summary

Altium Packaging in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to run blow mold, grinder, and trimmer machines and oversee the production line. You will troubleshoot process issues, perform minor maintenance, and collaborate with teammates to maximize efficiency and profitability.

The role requires 2+ years of machine operator experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints; overtime may be required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator preferred.
• 2+ years’ blow mold machine operation preferred.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Minor machine maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to start a production cycle (calibration, cleaning, etc.).
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines (wheel, reciprocator or shuttle).
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Keep records of approved/defective units or final products.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot, perform minor repairs on blow mold & support equipment.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Maintain activity logs.
