Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Section Head – Blood Bank (MT) to lead the Laboratory Department at our Ontario location. The role includes directing and coordinating laboratory functions, ensuring testing accuracy, and supporting patient care across campuses.

The ideal candidate has a medical technology degree, several years of lab experience with blood bank exposure, and professional certification. Avita offers competitive pay, benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for growth.

Competenze

• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college.
• Four years technical experience with at least one year in blood bank.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide laboratory services in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
• Direct, supervise, and coordinate functions and activities in the clinical Laboratory.
• Receive blood specimens, perform blood tests and study morphology of blood components.
• Maintain limited microbiology duties at satellite campuses.
