Navicent Health Medical Center is seeking a Specialist Technologist for the Blood Bank lab. The role involves analyzing blood, urine, and bone marrow specimens with automated and manual methods, to support treatment decisions.

It includes supervision of staff in the Stem Cell Processing Lab, training students, and ensuring QA/compliance. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related science and a minimum of eight years’ lab/leadership experience, plus ASCP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited university.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant laboratory tech and/or leadership experience.
• Technologist/Scientist/Specialist Certification from ASCP or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to general hospital standards and policies.
• Ensures accurate and timely performance of laboratory testing.
• Follows QC procedures and reviews results before reporting.
• Maintains safety and proper patient identification procedures.
• Participates in continued education and staff training.
• Assists in scheduling and backup coverage as directed.
