Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the lab section/area. You will supervise procedures and tests used for diagnosis and treatment, ensure analyzer maintenance, quality control, and proper specimen handling, and drive process improvements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, ASCP/AMT/AAB certification, and 3 years of clinical hospital experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is required.
• ASCP, AMT or AAB certification required; AAB provisional not accepted.
• 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of daily operations of the laboratory section/area.
• Oversee maintenance of analyzers, quality control, specimen collection and supplies.
• Provide recommendations and action plans for process improvement.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or closely related field

Other bachelor's degrees accepted if meets certifying agency requirements
