OneBlood is seeking a full-time lab professional to perform routine unregulated laboratory tasks and manage blood components on a 3rd shift schedule (11:00 pm - 7:30 am, 5 days/week with rotating weekends/holidays).

The role involves processing samples, maintaining records, issuing components, inventory control, and basic unregulated testing with emphasis on accuracy and safety. Equal opportunity employer welcome.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior blood bank or laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to report to work during disasters or public health emergencies.

Mansioni

• Receives and processes samples to determine suitability.
• Prepares and maintains laboratory records and blood shipping forms.
• Issues blood and blood components.
• Inspects blood units returned from hospitals and determines suitability.
• Maintains component inventory including recall and inventory lookback.
• Centrifuges whole blood to produce components.
• Modifies blood components.
• Performs unregulated laboratory testing such as pH and bacterial culturing.
• Performs quality control as directed.
• Monitors testing processes for errors and takes corrective actions.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment, supplies and lab space.
• Utilizes computer systems to obtain data.
