Job summary

Versiti is seeking a part-time technician to prepare quality biological blood components following SOPs. Evening and weekend shifts with differential pay, on-call as needed, and a training period on day shift will be provided.

You will join a team dedicated to safe blood product production and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced lab environment. Responsibilities include manufacturing RBCs, plasma products, and related components, while ensuring proper labeling, storage, and quality checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Equivalent required
• Less than 1 year to 1-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Responsibilities

• Manufactures Red Blood Cells (RBCs), Fresh Frozen Plasma and Recovered Plasma
• Manufactures Neonatal RBCs; Sterile docks Pedipaks to Platelet Apheresis, Neonatal RBCs
• Performs leukoreduction of Whole Bloods and RBCs
• Manufactures Cryoprecipitate, Pooled Cryoprecipitate and Cryo Reduced Plasma
• Labels products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements
• Maintains productivity to achieve department production goals
• Works weekends, holidays, rotations and on-call as needed
• Complies with all policies and standards
