Qualifications

• Graduate-level lab credentials or an allied degree is required.
• Two years of blood bank experience are required.
• Nationally recognized certification is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in the blood bank according to policies.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE as required.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory activities.
• Document deviations and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct immunohematology testing and prepare blood components.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and perform QC.
• Notify clinical staff of critical values and document in EMR.
• Complete competency assessments and participate in inventory management.
