Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist to join the Blood Bank team at the Phoenix lab location. This is a 0.9 FTE, hourly, day shift with rotating weekends (5am-5:30pm). Blood bank testing experience is required.

The MLT I will work under supervision, handling instrument operation, reporting results, quality control, and documentation. Upon ASCP certification or equivalent within 18 months, the role progresses to MLT II.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year MLT program from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Blood bank testing experience is required.
• Will obtain Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) ASCP Certification or equivalent within 18 months; promoted to MLT II after certification.

Responsabilités

• Follows established procedures to prepare clear, accurate reports of test results for patient treatment decisions.
• Maintains professional competence by staying current with literature and practices.
• Performs standard and complex lab tests and quality control testing.
• Conducts instrument maintenance and troubleshoots as needed.
• Assists peers with work assignments and supports team operations.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
