Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed is seeking a Blending/Grinding Operator in Mississippi. The role involves operating equipment, unloading materials, and maintaining accurate production formulas.

You will support cycle counts and ensure clean, safe working conditions in a dusty production environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma, 1–2 years in manufacturing and blending, and a forklift license (training provided).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Studies is required.
• Forklift license is required (will train).
• Manufacturing experience (1–2 years) preferred.
• Mixing/Blending experience (1–2 years) preferred.
• Dusty environment; familiarity with safety protocols is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate blending/grinding equipment safely to supply quality raw and recycled materials.
• Unload rail cars and trucks; verify COA before offload and process delivery paperwork.
• Maintain housekeeping in blending/grinding areas and perform basic maintenance (filters, scales calibration).
• Assist in cycle counts and inventory of blended materials; communicate with management.
• Maintain production run formulas and deviations; conduct department walkthroughs for efficiency and environmental integrity.

Job description

Position Overview:

Compensation : $22.00/hour-

Essential Functions :

• Operate the blending/grinding equipment in a safe and efficient manner to supply quality raw and recycled materials to production, troubleshoot material weight variances and blender/grinder process issues.-

• Unloading rail cars/may unload load trucks of Raw Materials including Supersacks, Gaylords and Bulk Containers – verify Certificate of Analysis (COA) before offload for accuracy, process all delivery paperwork

• 5S all departmental areas (blending/grinding).-

• Maintain housekeeping on floors of blending/grinding operation

• Perform basic maintenance activities for the blending/grinding department including filter changes and calibrating scales

• Assist in Cycle Counts of raw materials, silo inventory of blended materials – communicate to management

• Maintain and verify all blending production run formulas, trial formulas and approved deviations

• Regular Walkthroughs of the department to ensure efficiency and environmental integrity

• Other Duties Assigned by the Blending Supervisor
