Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ laboratory experience in a test/analysis setting.
• Knowledge of melting points for plastics (PE/PP).
• Basic math skills and ability to record data accurately.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook for data entry and documentation.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate lab equipment to perform material tests per instructions.
• Run daily lab standards and verify equipment operation.
• Record, store and file test results with internal codes.
• Enter data into shared file systems and maintain documentation.
• Test materials per customer specs: D2A, 6002A, 6002G, AASHTO, 7002A, 7002AC.
• Perform sample blends by grams per component; homogenize and test.
• Review bulk inventory via email and verify codes, lbs, and location.
• Ensure chill water unit and other equipment operate within range.
• Operate injection molding and film extrusion processes per ASTM/ISO.
• Carry out ISO tests: Melt Index, Melt Flow, Density, Izod, tensile bars, ESCR.
• Identify contamination beyond PE/PP; perform other duties as assigned.
