Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a production operator to oversee mix room operations, plan batch sequences from schedules and formulas, and ensure flow from tanks. You will collect samples for QA testing and maintain knowledge of ingredient mixes for batching.

The role emphasizes sanitary procedures, food safety, and compliance with GMP, health regulations, and internal policies. Foster safe practices and correct documentation throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Job description

Oversee the operation of mix rooms by working from schedules and formulas to utilize production’s schedule to plan the sequence of mix needed to flow from tanks.

2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing
• Exercise care and follow all sanitary process procedures associated with the pumping of mix
• Maintain working knowledge related to ingredient mix for batching purposes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
