Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an individual to oversee the operation of mix rooms, ensuring quality and safety in production processes. Responsibilities include collecting samples for quality assurance, following sanitary processes, and maintaining safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, production experience, and must be able to read, write, and speak English. This position operates from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Experience in production or general work is preferred.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Oversee the operation of mix rooms by working from schedules and formulas to utilize production’s schedule to plan the sequence of mix needed to flow from tanks.

2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing
  • Exercise care and follow all sanitary process procedures associated with the pumping of mix
  • Maintain working knowledge related to ingredient mix for batching purposes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Production or general work experience preferred
