Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Review quality, food safety and product specifications.
  • Monitor blending equipment according to component specs and blend amounts.
  • Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures per industry standards.
  • Adhere to testing procedures and provide samples to the laboratory.
  • Disassemble/assemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing per instructions.
  • Operate and test systems using gauges and instruments.
  • Maintain communication with departments and notify about issues.
  • Document all information per SOPs and support process improvements.
  • Support safe working conditions and regulatory compliance.
  • Follow DFA GMP and corporate safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Duties may include other tasks as assigned.

Job description

Operate continuous flow or vat-type equipment to process milk, cream, and other dairy products, following specified methods and formulas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review all quality, food safety and product specifications
  • Monitor blending equipment according to the specifications of components and blend amounts
  • Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures in accordance with industry standards for blending
  • Adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratory
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacturer instructions
  • Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments
  • Engage in dismantling, assembling, and installing refrigeration equipment
  • Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
