Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a skilled operator to oversee mix room activities from schedules and formulas to batching flows. You will ensure samples are collected for QA and maintain knowledge of ingredient mixes for batching purposes.
The role requires adherence to GMP, safety, and sanitation standards, with attention to reporting any food safety or quality issues to management, while maintaining compliant working conditions.
Oversee the operation of mix rooms by working from schedules and formulas to utilize production’s schedule to plan the sequence of mix needed to flow from tanks.
2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing
· Exercise care and follow all sanitary process procedures associated with the pumping of mix
· Maintain working knowledge related to ingredient mix for batching purposes
· Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
· Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
· Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Production or general work experience preferred
· Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Must be able to read, write and speak Englis
