Job summary

Aging, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bistro Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and uphold the highest dining standards in a bustling bistro setting.

You will mentor staff, manage service flow, handle cash and POS issues, and collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely, memorable guest experiences for every guest who walks through the door. Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bistro Supervisor to lead our front-of-

house team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for every guest. You will play a

pivotal role in day-to-day operations, mentoring staff, maintaining service standards,

and helping drive the culture of hospitality that defines our bistro.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate front-of-house staff during service to ensure seamless, high-quality guest experiences
  • Open and/or close the bistro, including cash handling, reconciliation, and end-of-shift reporting
  • Monitor efficiency during peak periods
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, service priorities, and any operational updates
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations at all times
  • Assist with scheduling, time-off requests, and staff coverage in coordination with the Dining Service Director
  • Support inventory management including ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain timing, quality, and communication between front and back of house
  • Onboard and train new team members in service standards, POS systems, and bistro procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role in a restaurant, café, or bistro environment
  • Proven ability to lead a team under pressure while maintaining a positive, guest-focused atmosphere
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, including wine basics and menu upselling techniques
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic cash management
  • Current Food Handler certification (ServSafe)
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
