Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is seeking part-time cooks for the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA. The Bistro team offers morning and afternoon shifts, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for recent grads to grow under mentorship from the Chef.

Requirements include 6 months of cooking in a high-volume setting, sanitation knowledge, and preferred Culinary Arts Degree with ServSafe certification. Strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months minimum of cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods (i.e. sautéing and grilling) and knife skills.
• Culinary Arts Degree and Local board of Health ServSafe Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in all kitchen operations including preparation, cooking, and storage of food.
• Physically deliver a food product according to the restaurant's standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and a professional atmosphere at all times.
• Meet guest dietary requests and prepare dishes with creative flair.
• Be knowledgeable of ingredients to accommodate dietary requirements.

Schedule & Shift Availability

We are hiring part-time support for our Bistro team at the Four Points by Sheraton.

• Morning shift (as early as 8:00 AM): For experienced cooks with a restaurant background

• Afternoon shift (as early as 1:00 PM): For early-career cooks with at least 6 months of hands-on or internship experience

This is a great opportunity for recent grads to grow their skills and gain mentorship from our Chef while working with a diverse, collaborative team.

• Availability: Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, and weekends

Holidays:

• This is a24/7 operation, so holiday coverage is required except for Christmas.

Assessments

• This position will require an on-sitecooking stage as part of the interview process.

Relocation is not offered

Responsibilities

The Cook's responsibility is to contribute to food service operations by assisting in all operations related to the kitchen including preparation, cooking, and storage of food, sanitation, etc.

• Physically delivering a food product according to the restaurant's standards.

• Conducting oneself and work in a clean and safe manner, maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times.

• Meeting any special requests presented by guests.

• Preparing the dishes with creative flair.

• Being knowledgeable of ingredients used in foods to comply with a customer's specific dietary requirements.

Qualifications:

• 6 months minimum of cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment required

  • 1+ years of cooking experience preferred.

• Knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods (i.e. sautéing and grilling) and knife skills

• Culinary Arts Degree and Local board of Health ServSafe Certification preferred

The hiring range for this position is $20.81 to $26.01 hourly. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. Eligible for Marriott employee discounts upon successful completion of required ongoing trainings.
