Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an energetic events associate for our Columbus Easton store. You will plan and coordinate kids' birthday parties and in-store events, engaging guests with crafts and activities while guiding customers through the shopping experience.

You will manage checkouts, stock, and event logistics, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and coordinating with store teams. This role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and a passion for helping people

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Experience working with children and children's events.
• Excellent people skills and communication (written, verbal, nonverbal).
• Strong organizational and creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within the Michaels store, including kids parties, to deliver fun and engaging experiences.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and help customers shop and find products.
• Manage checkout flow and keep store recovery standards during events and busy periods.
• Assist with event add-ons, communications with clients and store team members, and administrative tasks.
