Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an HIM Tech II in Arizona to manage birth registration data and maintain accurate master patient index records. You will coordinate with Medical Staff Services, assist patients through birth registration and paternity processes, and ensure timely submission of birth data in the Arizona birth reporting system.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, a preferred associate degree, and strong communication with physicians.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in master patient index maintenance, records analysis, or medical records processing.
• 3 years experience in the same areas is preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws related to birth registration and patient health information confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit Arizona birth certificates information (births, fetal deaths, paternity affidavits).
• Coordinate suspension protocol with Medical Staff Services and maintain MPI integrity.
• Assist patients with birth registration and paternity processes; verify required information.
