HonorHealth in Arizona is seeking an HIM Tech II to complete and submit state birth and paternity records, ensuring accuracy and timely processing within Health Information Management. You will maintain the master patient index (MPI), coordinate suspension processes with Medical Staff Services, and assist with data integrity across the organization.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree, High School Diploma or GED, and strong communication skills with familiarity of state laws

Formación

• Associate's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in master patient index maintenance, records analysis, or medical records processing; 3+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws related to birth registration and confidentiality of patient information.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with birth registration and paternity processes; enter data into the State of Arizona Birth Reporting System.
• Maintain and verify the master patient index (MPI); review duplicate records and merges as needed.
• Distribute chart deficiency and suspension information to physicians and staff; monitor the suspension process.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required safety competencies.
