Inotiv is seeking a Biotransformation Scientist to identify enzymatic pathways metabolizing drug candidates using LC–MS/MS and HRMS in preclinical models, including human tissues. The role supports development of in vitro–to–in vivo relationships for drug clearance and half-life, collaborating with Pharmacology and Toxicology leadership to establish NAMs and screening capabilities.

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline with 2-5 years direct industrial biotransformation experience following Post Doctoral training
• MSc in a discipline described with 5-7 years direct industrial biotransformation experience
• Working command of in vitro kinetic analysis and utilization of contemporary mathematical models to analyze, interpret and/or model drug clearance, predicted half life, and drug-drug interactions
• Ability to perform mass spectrometry data collection, analysis and interpretation via LC-MS/MS

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute laboratory studies to identify enzymatic pathways that metabolize small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides using contemporary methodologies.
• Investigate primary drug clearance mechanisms in vitro and establish in vitro-to-in vivo correlations for anticipated human half-life.
• Collaborate with in vivo pharmacology and toxicology teams to conduct ADME studies and assess disposition of drug candidates.
• Study exonuclease/endonuclease and peptidase metabolism for oligonucleotide and peptide drugs.
• Develop cellular models of drug metabolism and predictive toxicologic mechanisms with Toxicology leadership.
