Job summary

Inotiv in St. Louis, MO seeks a Biotransformation Scientist to identify enzymatic pathways metabolizing drug candidates using LC-MS/MS and HRMS, with preclinical in vitro and in vivo models including human tissues and subcellular fractions.

You will design studies to establish in vitro clearance mechanisms and in vitro-to-in vivo correlations, collaborate with Pharmacology and Toxicology leadership to develop NAMs, and contribute to predicting human half-life in a dynamic CRO environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field with 2–5 years industrial biotransformation experience.
• Experience with in vitro and in vivo metabolism studies.
• Strong knowledge of LC-MS/MS and HRMS techniques.
• Ability to design mechanistic ADME studies and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute studies to identify enzymatic pathways metabolizing therapeutics.
• Elucidate primary drug clearance mechanisms in vitro and establish in vitro-to-in vivo correlations.
• Collaborate with in vivo pharmacology and toxicology teams on ADME studies.
• Develop NAMs to address mechanistic inquiries and platform screening needs.
• Maintain stringent safety and data integrity in the lab.
