Job summary

Mettler Toledo is seeking a sales-focused technical expert for Rainin product lines in Chicago. You will support Sales Managers and Representatives with complex opportunities, demonstrations, and training to drive profitable growth.

Requirements include a biology-related degree and 4+ years in direct sales of laboratory automation, with strong CRM and MS Office proficiency. You will build strategic relationships and lead customer engagements to differentiate our solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology or related discipline from a four-year college or university; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years prior experience in direct sales involving laboratory automation and instruments.
Familiarity with typical biological laboratory applications and workflows.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical and application expert for assigned product lines to support growth and sales objectives.
Partner with Sales Managers to advance complex opportunities from qualification through close.
Build strategic customer relationships and engage target accounts to differentiate Rainin solutions.
Conduct customer needs assessments, workflow analyses, and demonstrations to deliver tailored technical solutions.
Collaborate with sales teams to execute strategic initiatives and improve win rates.
Deliver technical training and ongoing support to strengthen sales effectiveness.
Contribute to commercial excellence through feedback and continuous improvement of sales processes.
