Moderna in Norwood, MA, is seeking an Engineer I for the Pilot Scale Operations team to support Formulations (LNP and Drug Product) at pilot scale. You will join a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on technology transfer, process development, and scale-up of formulation steps, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

The role requires a BS/BA or MS in a relevant field, 0–2 years' experience, hands-on work with fermentation, tangential flow filtration, and chromatography, and strong

Qualifications

• BS/BA or MS in Chemistry, Systems, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, or closely related field.
• 0-2 years related experience.
• Hands-on experience with fermentation, enzymatic reaction, chromatography or tangential flow filtration.

Responsibilities

• Receive technology transfer from Process Development for Formulations sciences.
• Define process development and scale-up strategy with team.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Formulations equipment.
• Collaborate with analytical teams to characterize product attributes.
• Write/update SOPs for production as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and waste handling guidelines.
