Job summary

Locus Biosciences is seeking an entry-level candidate for a 2-year rotational program across CMC and R&D. You will learn formulation and process development, bench-scale bioreactor operation, and analytical strategy development while contributing to GMP-like documentation and tech transfer readiness.

Candidates should have lab experience and strong communication, with a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Technology or related field, with some lab experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical writing ability.
• Experience in regulated biotech/pharma environments preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and/or execute formulation development activities.
• Operate development-scale bioreactors, filter trains, TFF and chromatography equipment.
• Develop analytical strategies to inform development activities.
• Develop automated workflows for molecular biology assays and NGS library prep.
• Support data infrastructure and bioinformatics for R&D and CMC.
• Gowning, material handling, and GDP-compliant batch records.
