Job summary

Locus Biosciences is seeking an entry-level applicant for a full-time, two-year rotational program between CMC and R&D. The position offers exposure to drug development from early-stage research through manufacturing, with opportunities to work on formulation development, bench-scale processes, and analytical strategies in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or degree (e.g. BTEC Biomanufacturing) or Bachelor's/Master's in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Technology or related field with lab experience.
• Experience in regulated R&D or manufacturing environments (GDP, GLP, cGMP) is preferred but not required.
• Experience executing SOPs and documenting work.

Responsibilities

• Design and/or execute formulation development activities.
• Design and/or execute bench-scale process development activities, including bioreactors, filtration, and chromatography.
• Develop analytical strategies to inform development activities.
• Deploy automated workflows for molecular biology and microbiology assays, including NGS library prep and high-throughput screening.
